No. The heat-protectant base and easy-grip handles are permanently fixed to the glass containers and should NEVER be removed. If the handles or base become broken or damaged, discontinue using the container. 

Do not use or attempt to repair any glassware that is chipped, cracked, or deeply scratched, as its structural integrity is compromised. If a piece breaks off, handle cleanup using thick gloves. Dispose of the broken glass in the standard trash; do not recycle it.
