Ingredients

For the doughnut mixture

  • 1/2 cup of warm milk
  • 1 Tbsp active yeast
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 2 and ½ C All-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp salt

For the topping

  • 200 g melted chocolate
  • Candy sprinkles or any preferred toppings

  • Parchment paper
  • Circle dough cutter (1 big & small circle)

Instructions

Activate the Yeast 

  •  In a large bowl or mixing pan, combine the warm milk, active yeast, and sugar. 
  •  Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes frothy. 

Make the Dough 

  •  Add the eggs, melted butter, and flour to the yeast mixture. 
  •  Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then transfer to a floured surface. 

Knead 

  •  Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. (You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook.) 

First Rise 

  •  Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes, or until it has doubled in size. 

Shape the Doughnuts 

  •  Punch down the dough and roll it out to about ½ inch thickness. 
  •  Use a doughnut cutter (or two round cutters) to cut out 12 doughnuts. 
  •  Let the cut dough rest for 5–10 minutes while pre-heating the air fryer. 

Air Fry 

  •  Preheat your Ninja Air Fryer Pro to 160°C. 
  •  Lightly brush or spray the doughnuts with oil (optional for browning). 
  •  Air fry in batches for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown. 

Make the Chocolate Glaze 

  •  In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate  
  •  Stir until smooth and glossy. 

Glaze & Decorate 

  •  Dip the tops of the cooled doughnuts into the melted chocolate, then top with sprinkles. 
  •  Let the glaze set for a few minutes. 

Serve & Enjoy 

  •  Best served slightly warm or at room temperature with coffee or milk.
