Instructions
Activate the Yeast
- In a large bowl or mixing pan, combine the warm milk, active yeast, and sugar.
- Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Make the Dough
- Add the eggs, melted butter, and flour to the yeast mixture.
- Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then transfer to a floured surface.
Knead
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. (You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook.)
First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
Shape the Doughnuts
- Punch down the dough and roll it out to about ½ inch thickness.
- Use a doughnut cutter (or two round cutters) to cut out 12 doughnuts.
- Let the cut dough rest for 5–10 minutes while pre-heating the air fryer.
Air Fry
- Preheat your Ninja Air Fryer Pro to 160°C.
- Lightly brush or spray the doughnuts with oil (optional for browning).
- Air fry in batches for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown.
Make the Chocolate Glaze

In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate
- Stir until smooth and glossy.
Glaze & Decorate
- Dip the tops of the cooled doughnuts into the melted chocolate, then top with sprinkles.
- Let the glaze set for a few minutes.
