CHEEZA-RONI POCKETS

Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 2 and ¼ C All-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp white sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 and ½ Tbsp melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp water

For the Filling

  • 100 g tomato sauce
  • ½ tsp white pepper powder
  • 8pcs fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley
  • 1 cup of sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup of mozzarella & cheddar cheese
  • 100 g mushrooms (pieces & stems)

    Others
  • Cookie, cookie-cutter, or any circular thing you can use to cut the dough
  • A fork for sealing the dough
  • 1 egg, for egg wash

Instructions

Dough Preparation 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the dough ingredients. 
  • Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. 
  • Cover and let the dough rest for 10 minutes. 

Filling Preparation 

  • Prepare the following fillings in separate bowls: 

Sauce Mix: Combine tomato sauce, white pepper, chopped fresh basil leaves, and parsley. 

  • Other Fillings: 

Sliced pepperoni 

Mozzarella & Cheddar cheese

Sliced mushrooms 

  • Set all prepared ingredients aside. 

Assembling the Cheeza-Roni Pockets 

  • Roll out the dough and cut into 9 circular pieces (you can use a round cutter or a bowl as a guide).
  • For each circle: 

Place filling on one half of the dough circle. 

Fold the other half over the filling to form a semi-circle. 

Press and seal the edges firmly with a fork. 

Baking 

  • Preheat your Ninja Air Fryer Pro to 150°C. 
  • Place the Cheeza-Roni Pockets on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. 
  • Bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway: 
  • Bake 15 minutes on one side, brush with egg wash. 
  • Flip, brush the other side with egg wash, and bake for another 15 minutes. 

Let cool slightly. Serve warm and enjoy your Cheeza-Roni Pockets!
