HOME-MADE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH ICE CREAM

A very easy homemade dessert you can make with the Ninja Creami, the best ice cream maker for home! Enjoy a choco chip cookie dough ice cream today!

Ingredients

For the Ice Cream Base:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup half-and-half (or full cream milk)
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract

    For the Cookie Dough Mix-In:
  • 5 tbsp butter, softened
  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated*)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped chocolate chips

    *To heat-treat flour: Spread on a tray and bake at 175°C for 5 minutes to kill bacteria.

Instructions

Make the Cookie Dough

  • Mix butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add vanilla and heat-treated flour. Mix well.
  • Fold in chopped chocolate chips.
  • Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, then roll into small balls or chunks.

Prepare Ice Cream Base

  • In a bowl, combine heavy cream, half-and-half, sugar, and vanilla.
  • Stir until sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Pour into the Ninja Creami pint container. Seal and freeze for 24 hours.

Process in Ninja Creami

  • After freezing, install the pint into the Ninja Creami.
  • Select the Ice Cream function.
  • Once done, use the Mix-In function to add cookie dough chunks.

Serve & Store

  • Scoop and enjoy immediately, or store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

 

BONUS TIP: For a more Pinoy taste: 

  • Substitute half-and-half with Alaska Crema or Nestlé All-Purpose Cream + milk.
  • Use Choco Chips from local baking stores or chop up Goya chocolate bars.
