MIDNIGHT FUDGE VELVET CAKE

Ingredients

For the Fudge Cake

  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 cup of All-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 whole medium egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/8 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup water


For the Chocolate Filling

  • 1 cup full cream milk
  • 200g dark chocolate bar



Others

  • Small Bundt pan (or any pan cake/cupcake molder you prefer)

Instructions

Prepare the Fudge Cake Batter 

  •  In a mixing bowl, combine all the fudge cake ingredients in the order listed. Mix until smooth and well incorporated. Set the batter aside. 

Make the Chocolate Filling

  •  In a heated pan, combine the full cream milk and chopped dark chocolate.
  • Stir continuously over low heat until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool completely. 

Prepare the Molds 

  •  Lightly grease your molds with butter or oil, either by spraying or brushing, to prevent sticking. 

Bake the Fudge Cakes 

  •  Pour the prepared fudge cake batter into the molds, filling each about 3/4 full. 
  •  Bake in a the preheated Ninja Air Fryer Pro at 150°C for 15 minutes, or until set. 1 mixture can produce 5 small bundt cakes. 

Cool and Fill 

  •  Allow the cakes to cool slightly, then carefully remove them from the molds. 
  •  Using a piping bag, pipe the cooled chocolate filling into the center of each cake. 

Serve and Enjoy!
